6:4 He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled ¹  what he promised ²  my father David. 6:5 He told David, ³  ‘Since the day I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build a temple in which to live. ⁴  Nor did I choose a man as leader of my people Israel.

34:27 ‘You displayed a sensitive spirit ²²  and humbled yourself before God when you heard his words concerning this place and its residents. You humbled yourself before me, tore your clothes and wept before me, and I have heard you,’ says the Lord. 34:28 ‘Therefore I will allow you to die and be buried in peace. ²³  You will not have to witness all the disaster I will bring on this place and its residents.’”’” Then they reported back to the king.
